DİYARBAKIR (DİHA) – Murat Çetiner (Yılmaz Amed), one out of eight People Defense Force (HPG) members who lost their life during an armed clash in the countryside of Yayladere District of Bingöl Province two months ago, was laid to rest today in his home town in the Kuyuluhöyük (Hesberî) Village of the Çınar District of Diyarbakır. All eight deceased HPG members were buried in a nameless grave in Istanbul without their families consent.
Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executives with Çetiner’s family members and locals took place in the funeral, in where many slogans in favor of HPG and its members were chanted.
Police have taken high security measures around the graveyard in the village. Following burying the body, participants gave their condolences to Çetiner Family in the Community Condolence Tent erected for Çetiner.
