NEWS CENTRE (DİHA) - "This conference is another answer to those who would like to silence you" said Antonio Negri, author of well-known book ‘Empire’ in his message sent to the "Challenging Capitalist Modernity: Alternative Concepts and the Kurdish Quest" Conference in Hamburg.

Negri stated in his message that the Kurdish struggle was a struggle on different levels for a different society built on a model of governance that would challenge capitalism.

Negri also said the hopes that the elections in June 2011 gave rise to "have been crushed in blood" by thousands of Kurdish people’s arrests.
