Emine Kavak, member of DKOH addressed women at the meeting: “Sexual harassment and rape are not our destiny. Women have been tried to taken under domination of certain type of culture, society and economic system. And this system tries to assimilate Kurds by destroying, torturing, raping, forced immigration, poverty and unemployment which mean raping the rights. Last victims of this policy in Adana are Menekse Ertekin, who was forced to commit suicide and Derya Demiralp, who was killed by her husband. We will keep on fighting against all policy related suppression and intimidation until democratic and ethical society will be established.”
