ERDOĞAN ALTAN
ERZURUM (DİHA) – İsmet Abak, (40), a prisoner and cancer patient, is allegedly being kept in the basement of Erzurum H Type prison for 22 days instead of sent to hospital.
Imprisoned for life İsmet Abak has been a cancer patient since 2006. According to allegation even though his transfer to the hospital for treatment he is being kept for 22 days in the basement since soldiers have not allowed the doctors to see him.
Ablak's sister spoke to DİHA; My brother is in the prison for 15 years and sick for 3 years. Prison administration insisted on not transfer him to the hospital. Fallowing his health condition is getting worse they had to transfer him to the Erzurum Hospital 22 days ago. And he is being kept in the basement since the transfer. Soldiers have not allowed the doctors to treat him. My brother is obviously being let to die. I’m inviting human rights activists to take action for his health.
