Retired Trade Unions members protest salary raise

İSTANBUL (DİHA) – Fallowing announcement of total 11 Turkish lira retired pay raise has been protested by retired workers from Emekli-Sen in İstanbul. Workers used shroud to show their reactions. Pensioners wanted law about retired trade union and collective agreement to set the raise of retired pay.
Recently the government announced the raise of the retired pay as 3.5 percent and pensioners protested this announcement for being not enough against inflation. “We do not want to die in salary line”, “this raise rate is enough just for being miserable”, “we want to live like a human” and “we want our rights” are some of retired workers’ banners carried and slogans chanted during the meeting.
Some of parties and trade union members also supported the protest.(gü)
