NEWSCENTRE (DİHA) - One year has been left behind by the resistance of Dev Sağlık-İş Union members who demand re-employment after their dismissal from Samsun Gazi State Hospital one year ago on the grounds of being union members, reports anf.
The "resistance tent" put up by health workers has reached its 365th day and it's supported by unions and democratic mass organizations affiliated to DİSK, Türk-İş and KESK.
Despite often conflicts with private security forces of the hospital as well as mobile force police teams, workers have persistently refused to leave the area and to allow their tent to be removed. While the union members have demanded their jobs back for the last one year, the hospital administration continued to dismiss union representatives and members from the hospital within this process.
Dev Sağlık-İş Samsun Representative Yüksel Arslan underlines that they will continue their act until coming back to work and adds; “We demand our rights. We will continue our protest till the end of unlawful and arbitrary dismissals.”
Dev Sağlık-İş Chairperson Arzu Çerkezoğlu also noted that they would continue to display their rightful struggle until obtaining a result.
