Democratic Kurdish Society Center opened in Den Haag
NEWS CENTER (DİHA) - Democratic Kurdish Society Center has been opened in the Den Hag city of the Netherlands.
The opening ribbon was cut by Holland Socialist Party MP, Harry Van Bommel, co-mayor of Karakocan District, Burhan Kocaman and by Zubeyir Aydar representing Kurdistan National Congress (KNK). The opening ceremony was attended by over 500 people including EP deputy candidate Younis Lutfula, Bulent Aydin from the Labour Party, Mustafa Okçuoğlu from the Green Party, and representatives of PJAK and YNK.
The opening ceremony was followed by a minute of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the struggle of democracy and freedom. Harry Van Bommel, Zubeyir Aydar, Burhan Kocaman, Nizamettin Toğuç, Younis Lutfula and People’s Assembly Co chairs, Nuri Over and Aliye Sezgin made speeches on the occasion of the opening of the Center. The speakers offered their best wishes for the success of the center and called for solidarity.
Kurdish food was served to the guests at the end of the meeting.
