YPG shoots down 2 exploration drones of ISIS
KOBANÊ (DİHA) - YPG/YPJ (People's/Women's Defense Units) fighters have shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles used by the ISIS for exploration.
The two DJI Phantom 2 Vision drones conducting reconnaissance for the coordination of mortar and heavy weaponry of the ISIS have reportedly been shot down during the ongoing clashes on the south-eastern side of the Kobanê town.
YPG fighter Kahraman Rakka who is among those downing the exploration drones for ISIS said that the gangs were using these aerial vehicles in order to locate the civilians before carrying out mortar and heavy weaponry attacks in line with the data gathered in reconnaissance flights.
The cameras installed on the portable drones with four propellers can shoot high resolution and long time videos.
